A short bio

I am currently researcher at INRIA Nancy - Grand Est where I am deputy leader of the RESIST research group. Relying on data analytics and the convergence between network and system, this group aims to make elastic and resilient networked systems thanks to powerful intelligent methods to analyze and orchestrate resources to enhance security and scalability. I am also research fellow at the Interdisciplinary Center for Security Reliability and Trust, SnT, at the University of Luxembourg and the leader of a joint team, Masdin on network softwarization. I was research associate at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, reliability and Trust of University of Luxembourg in team of Prof. Dr. Thomas Engel (Netlab / Secan-Lab) from 2010 to 2014. I was previously a Ph.D. research engineer at INRIA Nancy - Grand Est. I have studied at ESIAL, a french leading school in computer science. In 2006, I obtained a Ms. degree in computer science and received his Ph.D. on robustness and identification of communicating applications from the University Henri Poincaré in Nancy, France, in December 2009. My Ph.D. was supervised by Olivier Festor and Radu State in LORIA/CNRS/INRIA Nancy - Grand Est.

My research area is the network management and cyber-security. I designed methods for monitoring and analyzing large scale networks in various scenarios, in particular traffic flow analysis, botnet detection, semantic phishing prevention techniques, large scale security analytics, encrypted traffic analysis, IoT security and SDN-based security.
